So... what IS this?

The lovely is approx 8-10" across, encrusting monti of some sort I would imagine?

How long have you had this piece. I think I might see a small green tint to the polpys. I wonder if the base with blue up.

I picked this up on a recent order (approx 2 weeks ago). Its a trip that's for sure---really dig encrusters, so I am jazzed about this one. W/o the flash it is more purple looking, but the POS XM 10ks make everything look a bit yellow (and with the blue might give an impression of green?)

Ya some kind of montipora, amongst the 20 some odd specie variations therein Coloration is similar looking to the digi I have with that kiss of green on it. Looks like it could go into a couple of different directions, purple, orange, or....?

The polyps are what threw me off... did not look like ones I have seen before. I will photograph its morph if it changes colors.
