Help identifying a potential pest

I was looking in my tanks tonight with a flash light, and noticed what appears to be some sort of starfish like creature among a group of polyps.

It appreared to be tan or even clear (the flashlight was rather dull). It was not much thicker then hair, but had multiple limbs like a starfish. I tapped on the rock next to it and the polyp, and it quickly dissapeared, so it was alive I am sure.

The tanks are about 6 weeks old, with a good amount of live rock that was cured in tank (with glass bottom, cleaned for a few weeks, water paramiters settled back, then sand, ect was added). So it could be any number of hitchikers as there is atleast 150 lbs of rock in the system.

I took pics tonight but my battery died, so Im not sure if I got anything or not, but I doubt it. It was not much more then an inch in diameter. It looked like it could have been something similar to the Spiny brittle star, but my book says they are up to 6 inchs in diameter, so unless it was a baby.

Id like to know if I need to hunt it down, do a dip, or if its likely benifital clean up crew. The zoo appears to be doing well, but Ive only had it a few weeks.

Thats sorta what I figured. Thats also why I didnt try and kill it on site, as I want to encourage as much diversity as possible.

Thanks.
