You could just smother those Hydroids with some epoxy. Keep an eye on that Peppermint shrimp too. Aiptasia is not the only thing on this invertebrates diet. A lot of people have reported them eating various corals in their tank, including myself. If you can remove those rocks with ease then you might want to consider burning the Aiptasia off with a cigarette lighter. This only takes a few seconds to do.
I disagree. There's nothing really wrong with Hydroids, but they can irritate certain corals if they get too close. I don't know about you, but I sure as hell wouldn't want them taking up some prime real estate in my tank. :thumbdown
