How would I be able to tell the difference between the more common acans like lordhowensis, bowerbanki, and echinata? Are there any more acans that are regularly available?
Coral identification can be tricky at times. You may need to see its bare skeleton to be able to tell for sure. Usually the polyps are distinct in one way or another. Lords generally have stripes, and clear gaps between polyps, with Bowers and Echinatas the polyps do not. Bowers tend to have bigger mouths than Echinatas. etc.
