Interesting,

I'm going to say it's a color morph of Alpheus bellulus (tiger) however I could very much be wrong.

I've never seen one that bright yellow, although I have seen rare colormorphic specimens varying from a tint of red even so it seems like a possibility. Availability would also be a factor.

The patterns seem to match most tiger specimens, just the contrast is significantly darker in the lines and brighter everywhere else.

Looks kind of like a color variant of Alpheus Bellulus. Whatever it is it sure is cool!

Not a color morph :) It's Alpheus thomasi ( striped snapping shrimp) and it comes from the Carabbean! Nice find, those specific ones are very rare!

I don't think it's A. thomasi, if you look at the legs of a normal A. thomasi, they're solid colored:

While the specimen in the photo for ID is either a cream or transparent. The telson also has alot more detail in A. thomasi compared to what we're seeing.

A. thomasi also lack the yellow spots at the leg's joints. Unless it's a colormorph of A. thomasi.

Your fellow looks like a weirdly colored tiger pistol. Tiger pistols get about 3" long, and they're peaceful, though they do move a lot of sand.

Yep. I call them peaceful because they don't attack things, but they do shoot a good bit. They can't kill anything more durable than a worm with their gun, though, so they aren't dangerous to anything other than any worms that crawl into their tunnels.
What kind of goby do you have?

Been busy lately but I will post a picture of the goby,it looks weird. Going to the lfs for some live rock to finish my build

Got a pic for you

I have never seen a goby like that. The closest thing I could find just searching the Internet was the cheek spot shrimp goby but that doesn't have any info. I'll be curious to see what responses you get.
