Hello all. Brand new to this forum but not to saltwater aquariums. However, I am new to keeping a reef tank. Can any of you help me ID these hitchhikers.
first pic looks like an Xenia. . . the second I was leaning toward a paly of some sort but it kinda looks like a Majano as well. Can't say for sure, someone more familiar will most likely chime in.
Yeah, but definitely keep your eye on the Clove polyps, if that is in fact what they are. These things can spread to plague like proportions if conditions are right.
The first is a coral that people do pay money for (not much but they do).. Once it spreads (and it will) you will need to cut that rock into pieces to frag it though..
The second is a nuisance anemone and is not something people pay for..
