help.. is my anenome ok or dying?

I just got my first sebae anemone with purple tips... He has no latched onto any rocks where I have placed him and i noticed last night that he might have been sliming up or too me it seemed almost like he was falling apart...

I looked just now and he was still at the corner of the tank so i moved him... The picture is not very good but if you can see the bottom half is almost like he got tore up by something and Im not sure exactly what too do? Is this unsafe to keep him in my tank? I heard they can kill off your entire tank? Please help lol.. what should I do?

What "mthomp" failed to say (( and should really be more helpful if you are going to bother to post )), and that your anemone is melting away, and is a goner. I would remove it from your tank -- but might want to use a net, or something similar, because I have a feeling that it will fall apart when you remove it.

From the looks of it, it was either white or yellow, in either case those colors should be avoided when purchasing an H. Crispa -- bleached or dyed.

thanks Tod... I removed him. Kind of crazy, i netted him like you said out him in a frag dish and he was nothing but a blob lol.. kinda sucks thanks for the tips.
