Help! Is this toadstool leather dying?

I have a 12gallon nanocube that's been set up for a few weeks now. All my parameters are within range, so I decided to add a few things. Yesterday, I added two clowns, some zoos, and a toadstool leather (all from a popular online vender who shipped them). So far, everything looks good except the leather. It looked like half of it was dead this morning, and it was separating itself from the dead part. But now none of it looks so hot!! I don't have a QT because this little nano is all I have, so what are my options? PS: I apologize for the quality of the pictures; all I have is my iPhone.

hmm doesn't look good. I would do a water change. what are your parameters?

I actually managed to cut away the obviously necrotic tissue, and it exposed much healthier looking stalk underneath. Some of the polpys even opened up a little bit tonight, so I think it's starting to come around! I'll keep you posted...

Tonga leathers can be hit or miss which is why I would never get one shipped because they can start turning black in a few days and die. They require very high flow and high lighting.

Yep!! I actually moved it directly in front of a Hydor in a really bright spot up high in the aquarium. Once I did that, it started turning the corner for me.
