Help Jeremy. Cooling solutions

Jeremy,

I came home today to find all of my lights off which means 1 of 3 things. I didn't pay my bill, all bulbs burned out at the same time or 3, My Apex did it's job and shut them down due to heat.

So my tank was at 84 deg. I have no chiller at the moment but I am looking for a set of clip on tank fans for the rim of my tank (60g Deep Blue Rimless) that look good but work great at cooling but also reliable and not noisy.

Any suggestions. I need asap.

Thanks,

Kasei

Glad to hear you are staying up on your bills and your fixture didn't have a zombie attack and mass casualties of the lamps! ;)

Go to Target, Meijer, Walmart, etc., and get a bed clip on fan. They're somewhat unsightly, but for an easy fix they're your cheapest / best option. The Tunze Aquawinds are great, as well as the Azoo fans that are out there, but the volume they move won't be as good as clip-on fan will be, and you'll spend a lot more money. The reason I recommend this is that it sounds like a short term solution until you get a chiller. If not, then one of the more "made for that application" products might suit you better.

Well this is my plan. I want the good looking fans so that it will stop the chiller from coming on all the time (money saving) so that means they will be on the tank all the time. Yeah I will pick up a chiller as soon as you have a sale ;) lol

How many Tunze do I need for 120g. I might as well set it up for the new tank also.

Thanks

I would do one Tunze on each side of the tank. I think that would definitely be beneficial and keep the chiller from running so much.
