Help, kind of an emergency!!

I ordered (3) sexy shrimp from Live Aquaria..

What do I get? A fish! At first I thought it was a yellow tang but it looks almost clear.

I only have a 75 gallon tank and dont even want this fish. But I don't want it to die!

Is it unreasonable for me to put this fish into my 9-10 gallon refugium that has plenty of live rock (part of 100 gallon system) and then hand it off to an LFS?

And then tell Live aquaria to ship me (3) sexy shrimp for free?

I think getting it out of the bag (even into a small tank will be better, I think it is a yellow tang just stressed; then move to LFS

Just call them and ask what they want to do.

Well, if you don't plan on keeping it, DONT put it in your tank. You'll run the risk of possibly adding some parasite to your tank. I'd call LA and tell them and if they don't want it, then go to the LFS. I wouldn't plop that into my DT. Do you have a QT?

Thank you for your responses. I'm about to be on the phone with them.

I can set up a QT with a 20g long.. With a korilia 420 and some filter media from my sump..

I think I'm going to hand it off to the LFS.

I'd either set up a temporary QT or bring it to your LFS. I wouldn't run the risk of putting it directly into your tank or sump.

Ok yeah he is just floating and dripping.. I have to go to school in a couple hours and I'm on my motorcycle until my car is out of the shop. So no going to LFS for another 6-7 hours when my girlfriend gets home.

i will need to put him in a 10 gal which I have setting up now. Partly will be filled with DT water from change. It's clean water anyways. Skimmed and GFO/carbon.

LA was very quick to fix the problem and apologize. Shipping shrimp out Monday and told me to keep/re home the fish.

Terrified little yellow tang. Just QT him and find a decent home.
Is your LFS going to sell him to somebody who'll keep him in a 30g? If so, perhaps ask around on here and look for a suitable home. He looks smallish, so it should be alright to keep him for a little while if it's to ensure he goes to a good home.
I be this means that somewhere out there is a guy who ordered a yellow tang and got 3 sexy shrimp. Shipping labels probably got swapped or something.
