help....lighting needs

I am wondering if my 150w HQI halide would be sufficient enough to house some seriaopora (birds nest) if i keep it high and right under the light? thanks!

That should be enough light to keep any SPS as long as they are kept high in the tank.What size tank is this going on?

I am also wondering if I have enough lighting for SPS in my tank. I have a Hamilton 150W DE HQI that is 4 inches from the waterline. the tank size is a 20H gal.
