I am hoping that someone can give me some advice on how to handle a situation. I have a 125 reef that has been up for about 5 years. We sold our house and moved to a rental, and during the process all of my fish died. It was a combination of issues regarding movers, broken down trucks, and other things that happened that at this point do not matter. Over the next year we will be building a new home and a new state of the art tank is part of the plan. I have decided to take down and sell my current setup as it depresses me to even look at it with my fish gone. I have about 150 pounds of live rock in the tank. I have a pretty serious aiptasia breakout since I was not able to pay much attention to the tank over the past month. I want to save the rock for the new tank, but I want the rock 100% aiptasia free. So what do I do? I have read about "cooking" the rock, but it seems that is no guarantee to positively wipe out the aiptasia. Any thoughts on how I can save the rock and kill the aiptasia? Any suggestions would be appreciated. It will be 1 year that I need to save the rock before it goes into the new build. Thanks.
