I about 3 weeks ago I added a male green mandarin to my tank. A week later I added a female red mandarin who is a little smaller. When I first added the female they seemed to interact quite well. The second day I saw them lock lips, but I don't know if that's good or bad. But on the third day I saw them doing the mating dance, the one where the swim up an down side by side with their heads next to each other. After that night I figured all is well. But now, two weeks later and i haven't seen the female in a few days, until now. Only now when she comes out the male chases her around the tank. She also seems to be losing color and is breathing heavy. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do help the situation?
