Help me build my 375 Gallon FOWLR

Hi,

I'm looking to separate the 375 and 470 gallon tanks. I'm going to be acropora dominated in the 470. I was thinking freshwater for the 8@30@30" 365g tank, but considering a saltwater fowlr. Needing some inspiration:)

I'd suggest putting a reef in the smaller tank. It's easier to fill up on fish than it is corals. And there are a lot of very large FO fish in comparison to reef fish. Sure some reef fish get big, but nothing like puffers and triggers.

Maybe freshwater it will be.

I planned out a planted tank one time then after I read as much as I could I realized it was almost as much equipment and work to run it as it was for a reef and went salt.

My vote is 100% Fowlr. It seems like the popularity of this forum expands greatly when a new tank is being stocked. That being said, do what you like, don't do it so the fish only section becomes active again.

Would love to see another butterflyfish dominant tank.

What about a large group of anthias? They would be great to look at in such large numbers. I also agree that butterfly tanks are sweet.

I like this list - I would pair the bird wrasse just because you can. I would also get a bunch of dwarf angels, maybe add a few more or try for a harem of flames? I would be concerned about the damsels being lunch at some point, but they will add a lot of color until/if that happens.

1 pair Tiger Oscars
7 silver dollars
1 shovelnose catfish (Sorubim lima, 18", not the tiger shovelnose)
1 ornate bichir

...just to be different...and you did mention freshwater
