Help me catch a fast wrasse

Hi guys and gals. I have a wrasse that needs to head back to the LFS, he's not getting along well in my tank but the problem is that I can't net the fast creature. He is way too fast and not only that, if I get him into a corner, being the wrasse that he is, he'll dive straight into the sand and disappear. I tried three times on Saturday and he did that each time. I gave up after to not stress the guy out too much. Ahhh what can I do.

fish trap. either a home made bottle trap, or one of the purpose built ones.

Haha, thanks for both suggesstions. I think I'll try the second one since it'll cost be nothing. If that doesn't work I'll take up the first one.

Chase him into a corner or wait till he goes to sleep in the sand then use a piece of plexiglass to section off that corner or area, as small as possible, makes it much easier.

The corner trick didn't work because he is faster than me. And I tired the sleep technique but it's tough to find him or even approximate where he might be. I'll try a fish trap but I'll make one

The old cut off the end of a liter bottle and invert it type fish trap has always worked well for me especially with wrasses.
