Help me decide

Hey everyone! Here's the deal, i'm upgrading to a 48x30x18 rimless tank. I plan on keeping all sps and trying to keep the tank as clean as possible. The dilemma right now is that i don't know whether to go bare bottom or go with a thin layer of coarse sand. Overall i think going barebottom will produce better results for my situation as I can't see myself siphoning the sand clean. I do see me siphoning the detritus on a bb tank though. Help me please!

Mine is BB. And I have had it that way for long time. I've never looked back. It's a lot easier to maintain imo.

I'd go BB. I have sand in my cube but in my future tanks I will most def go barebottom.

I've never kept a BB tank, so I can't argue the merits of one over the other. I greatly prefer the look of a nice white sandbed, though I have seen some spectacular BB tanks.

ya. Another thing about bb tanks is that there's no sand to scratch up your glass
