I got this regal angel since May and went through QT for 7 weeks before I put in DT.
Disease started with Red sores near belly (stomach area?) around a month ago and developed to lateral lines.
I moved her from DT to QT 2 weeks ago and tried seachem kanaplex, seachem focus and Hikari Metro with no success. She is still eating very well and likes Formula 2 and mysid shrimp but never touched seeweed.
DT is 75G reef tank mainly for SPS
Fish: paired Percula clown fish
Parameters: NH3:0, No2:0, NO3:0, PH 7.8-8.1, 8dKh
Please help me to save this beautiful angel.
TIA
Jason

The lateral line stuff suggests HLLE (or even a wound), but the red spots mess up that guess. The middle pic also seems to show a few ich spots: on the caudal lobe and the pectoral fin. How has the red spots and lateral line problems progressed? Getting better/worse? You've tried a few meds; but 2 weeks often isn't long enough to know if antibiotics have really worked; and that assumes this is a bacterial infection----I don't know if it is. Have you run carbon? You don't want 3 different meds in the water at the same time. If the spots aren't ich and the fish isn't getting worse; my gut feeling is that this is some type of infection that the fish can fight off with good water, food, & vitamins. If its getting worse, ,post new pics if possible.

MrTuskfish,

Regal is not with me anymore. She died early this week but not because of symptom I previously described here.
I have been medicating seachem focus + Hikari Metro since I didn't see improvement with seachem kanaplex + Hikari Metro. There was obvious improvement on red sore but lateral line had little improvement.
Early last week, I found that Fan of TECO micro chiller (with integrated heater) which I used for QT had failed and temp must fluctuated at night a lot for several days. I also noticed body was pale but later figured out that body was covered with very fine powder like which was difficult to see under dim light for QT. I thought that it was oodium so I immediately dosed Cupramine. She refused food from that day.
Thank you for your advise.
