Hello,

I need help installing some overflows on a 75 gallon acrylic aquarium. I got it drilled already It comes with the bulkheads and return heads. It has 2 canister filters however and i want to use a sump instead.

here is a diagram. Blue is intake and red is returns.

I was thinking of building an overflow box around the two intake bulkheads that would lead to the sump. Then, put a check valve before the returns connect to prevent reverse siphon.

i need information of how i can instal the overflows. I was thinking of custom making an acrylic overflow box but i don't have any experience cutting, gluing acrylic! :mad2:

Please help!!!

You might be able to use the square acrylic tubes from McMaster to make your overflows. If they are big enough to fit you pipe into. You would need to use Weldon to attach them to the back of your tank. You would probably also want to cut one side of the tube off. Then you could use that side for the bottom of your overflow You can also get round tubes from them that would be large enough to make overflows with. http://www.mcmaster.com
