Help Me Pick Out a Good Sump Please

I have a custom made sump that I built out of a 30gl tank a few years back. Its a 36x12x16 or something like that. It cost me like 80 bucks to build it, but I want to look for something that might have some real good filtration for my tank.
I do not want to use a filter sock because they are to much maintenance cleaning a couple times a week. Wanna use something that water can spill on to a filter pad and drain in to the sump.

What do you use and who are the makers.

i recommend either a aqueon proflex sump or a trigger sump. i personally run a aqueon proflex model 3 sump and im very happy with it. mine runs very quite and filters very efficiently. however i dont recommend any of the models smaller then the model 3 because i heard its very hard to fit equipment in those. heres what mine looks like... good luck on the build

ps: i know your looking into a sump that doesnt have filter socks but having a sump plumbed to flow into a filter pad would probably be changed out just as much as a filter sock. if you get back up filter socks its actually very easy to maintain. just swap them out and throw the dirty one in your washer machine and just run it with bleach. been doing this since day one and no problems.

Tagging along here. I am in a similar situation and am looking for a 20 to 30g sump.

I don't understand how the water level is kept constant in the skimmer/last chamber of the aqueon. Do you have to use ATO with this one?

By the way, beautiful dog!
