I mean I already have some empty shells in the tank from previous set-ups (and previously alive snails), so I guess if the blue-legs only kill to find larger shells, it shouldn't be a problem in my tank.

i would get some type of butterfly fish from the dd they always have nice ones i wish I could get

If my tank were a 5 ft tank, I would have put a long-nose butterfly fish in there... for some reason people think they aren't reef safe, when in fact the only thing my previous longnose butterfly fish picked on were the tubicle feet of the sandsifting starfish and small feather dusters.

So, I guess they aren't truly "reef-safe" since they do eat/nibble on those inverts, but other than that, never even looked at corals.

Here's a good question, do Hermit crabs and snails need to be quarrantined? Do they need to be fw dipped? Will they transfer ich to your tank?
