tank is just about 1/8th inch off not perfectly level- do you think ill be ok ??????? tank is a 210 BTW

I have a really old glass tank that is off by a lot more than that and it has been up and running for 3 years with no problems. I dont know much about levelness but just some of my own experience.

i was gonna say its an all-glass and has been set up for about 1 mnth now- and i reallly dont wanna take it down just to raise it up a lil bit , its really not that bad, On a level the air bubble is just a hair over the other side but almost within the 2 black lines-

I'd level it perfectly, especially with glass. Acrylic you MIGHT be able to get away with it.. although I'd still take the time to level it.

Its what, $5 worth of wood shims and a half an hour of time? Just do it :)

actually i would have to drain it and pull all of the corals out to do it, and it would take me a good 3-4 hrs is it really necessary?

just my personal opinion: if I were in your position, I would do it for 2 reasons:

1) piece of mind
2) I have a lot invested in the tank, and would take all precautions to avoid a bad experience

To answer your question, "is it really necessary"? If something happens, then you will think that it was necessary. I think 3-4 hours is a good investment.

1/8", thats all. I have seen bigger tanks off by an 1/2" with no problems. And they have been up for years.

I have shimmed a 180g when full without issue. I put a shim every 12" and went verry slow only pounding them in 1/4-1/2" of the shim at a time. Once I had them 1/2 way in place I put additional shims every 6". Perhaps I got lucky but have had no issues.

I would bet you will be absolutely fine. However, because you have posted, you are probably like me. Better to shim and sleep at night.

I'm not saying it won't be fine but, that bubble will be magnified over a long distance. If you are going to lose sleep over it... then you should fix it. Can't you just shim under the stand without having to empty the tank? I shimmed under my stand.
