Hello all.
I need some help. My carpet who I have had for 2 years decided to let go last night and get caught in my mp40. He has been attached in the same spot for over 2 months after redoing my tank. I woke up this morning to my power head making a weird clicking noise to find him tangled in it. I pulled the wet side out of the tank and drained some tank water praying he would untangle himself. That didn't happen so I had to cut him free. What are the chances of survival? It is a Harrdoni carpet. I only had to cut off a small piece. Foot is good. But 1/4 of his mouth got caught up. He is in a quarantine tank right now. Foot is stuck and moving around a little. Let me know if you need anymore info.
Thanks.

This is what got cut off

Were you using foam covers on the vortechs? They are lifesavers. Although I had my one mag get past it somehow. He was a horrible wanderer. Ended up cutting him in half like a bta and he survived. Wouldn't reccomend that with a carpet tho.

You need to correct whatever wrong with your DT. Haddoni just doesn't up and let go without something really wrong. You really need to take care of this before return the anemone back

If this happens in the future I wouldn't suggest cutting him free just leave the anemone alone and they will generally work their way out of the power head.
