One head is a skeleton. One head is grey and fuzzy.
I don't have a test kit to monitor params, but the rest of the coral colony looks fine. I haven't added anything to the tank except some pep shrimps a few weeks ago.
The hammer is a few inches away from a hydnophora coral, which have been known to extend webs and declare bio warfare on other corals. This is the side where the hammer heads have died. They have been near each other for months though, and the hammer heads died over night. Eh?

Feedback please!

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on those buggers.

Anyone else have any input as to why my hammer suddenly started dying?

Check carefully for brown jelly looking mucus around the sick head. If so remove the sick head ASAP. If it is brown jelly disease it will spread if left unchecked.
