Help my Leather

I've had this Leather for about 5 or 6 months now and since day 1 it opened up and has been huge. For some reason it's been like this for the past 2-3 days. I don't know what is wrong. It looks fine and all my water parameters are right on target. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

most toadstools will shed from time to time. this could be whats going on with yours. give it a couple of days, and you should see some skin like material coming off of it. then it will soon be back to normal.

Your very lucky for it to have gone 5-6 months without it doing this already. Mine sheds about once every 2-3 weeks. It must really like your tank or something.

Mine sheds every once in a while but it doesn't stay closed like this for a couple days. It happens for a very short time. That's why I'm worried.

When mine sheds, it usually takes a couple days. I've also noticed that if I see it with tentacles retracted and blow it off with a turkey baster, the tentacles usually come out within an hour or so. Seems very small particles of sand or dust settle on it and tick it off.

Yeah, I saw some small particles on it and I dusted it off earlier. Maybe that will help.
