Help! My little baby is sick

I have a 3-year old cat who is my little baby, she's usually very lively, and for the last 4 days has refused to eat anything and has been in and out of the vet, due to fever. She's been very lethargic as well. I keep my cats in the basement at night, and the tanks are down there. I had a red mandarin in the 90 g frag tank who seems to be missing. The store where I purchased him said he was a jumper. It's possible he died and the CUC took care of him, but if he jumped out and my cat ate him, that could lead to her being badly poisoned, yes? The vet is stumped as to the cause, they've run all the blood work possible. Looking for ANYTHING anyone has ever experienced involving pets and jumped fish or any other instances of ingesting saltwater substances. Thanks in advance.... I'm praying that my little girl Lily doesn't die :(

It is exceptionally unlikely that your mandarin jumped. Do you see a reason in your frag tank why it should?

When I was doing tank maintenance in college I actually had a case almost exactly like this. A target mandarin jumped and the tank owners wife's Pomeranian ate it and proceeded to die.

His wife made him break the tank down that day.
