HELP My sump setup

Im building a new sump and had some questions. I seen a design like this and wondering if it would work for me. I need the skimmer in about 9" of water but want my refuguim in like 12". My skimmer is to big to put it on a stand.
Let me know what ya think.

I would say put your Refug on the left where your return pump is then just use 12" high glass. Put your return in the middle section and then you can control the height with 9" baffle. Feed your refug with a tee off the return pump and use a shutoff to regulate flow into refug.

The way you have it drawn, water level will be at the height of the fuge baffle. Also you won't have much space in the sump for drain down.

I agree. It won't work as drawn. Your skimmer will be in 12" of water.
