I bought a yuma covered rock over a month ago. My lfs had them under NO lights. They were a purple/blue color. In a few weeks, they had bleached to white and have been that way for more than a month. One yuma has some red flecks of color but the remaining ones are all white and some have died( presumed). I have them in the 38 gallon sump under my 125 gallon FOWLR tank. I have an 130 watt coralife powercompact hood( 2x65watts of 10000k/actinics). At first after the bleaching, I only ran the actinics for a few weeks hoping they would get their color back. Now, I am trying to use both white/actinics running them only at night. Alkalinity is at 8, Nitrates @ 5ppm, salinity @ 1.025, temps 78-80. There is a bad case of red slime and hair algae in the sump. Any suggestions on what I can further do?
