Help Need answers Fast

We just lost 2 fish and they had very very tiny white specks all over them ... and now I see that our lion fish now has whitish glazed over eyes.... Is it Ich?? If it is I heard that if you dip your fish in fresh water that it can kill the ich if your fish has it ... I want to save the lion fish if I can.... We have been adding kick ich in cause we think that it is ich... but please let me know if dipping him in fresh water for no longer then 15 min will help.... any suggestions would be appreciatied.

My tank just went thru with marine velvet and ick. I did try a fresh water dip for about 3-5 minutes, but it didn't seem to help. I had tried and successfully used Hyposalinity in the past. But be cautious and bring the salinity down slowly over time. Otherwise your fish will die due to salinity shock.

Treat in quarantine tank with copper or formalin or both. Forget hypo it's no guarantee it will kill the ich. Hypo just causes stress. You can run salinity down to 1.020-.017 if you want. You will probably also need antibiotics to treat secondary bacterial infection.
