Help need coral ID

I just purchaes this softie. It was sold as Mumps leather but
I am not sure what species it really is can you help? thanx!

To me it looks like finger leather coral (Cladiella sp.) family Alcyoniidae. Will do fine under medium light and current. Happiest when its foot (or stalk) is attached to a stable (larger) rock.

mmmm thought it might be Lobopytum? or Sinularia? I have it at the top of the tank in moderate currant for a couple of day and it hasn't opened yet I am kind of surprised. Maybe light is too bright.

Can you tell us about your setup: tank, lighting, what's used for water movement? What are your tank's water specs? Keep us posted.

75g reef tank, 2- 175w 10'000k metal Halides, 2- 40w 48" actinics,wet dry filter driven by mag 5 with 9w uv in return line, 3- aquaclear 402 powerheads in tank 270 gph each. Nitrates-0/ PH 8.3 to 8.4 /Cal. 400ppm/ Alk 3.8 -4.5. Tank is on rebound from long neglect but is doing very well. Just wondering why this coral is not opening have other softies in the tank nothing aggresive by any means. The thing opened up the first hour in the tank and now has been closed. I know leathers can sometimes close for days but mine don't.I do have it mid to upper level of the tank maybe I will move it lower in a day or two if it doesn't open. That is why I was trying to ID. Thanks if I missed any info that might help let me know.

I'd move the coral lower in the tank if you can and give it a few days to adjust to your tank/lights. Then, if need be gradually move it up to a higher spot. What kinda lights was it under at the place you got it from?
