help needed for dying xenia

My xenia frag was doing great and even grew to three stalks. Seems that after they split they are dying (droopy, not opening, flopped over). Water perams are good, every thing else (clam, bubble tip, zoos, and fish are fine). Do they have problems after fragging themselves??? thanks all!

xenias have a tendence to crash sometimes for what seems to
be no apparent reason. Do you dose iodine.In my experience
xenias need flow so they wont choke on thier own mucus, good
lighting they pulse at higher end ph 8.2 to 8.3 and iodine.

I had that problem, Then i got some larger stalks and they are doing alot better...

Try larger stalks, they are more hardy

Some flow, light and some organics in the water for a xenia feeding. Do you have, by any chance, very clean water? And no stinging neighbors.

I have only white xenia - it's very hardy, no problems after dividing or fragging (size independent), wide range of pH and alkalinity was accepted, as well as water, loaded with nitrates and phosphates.

The only things, that depressed it - light less than 18W/6g, hammers touching it, and leaving it in a rapidly cooling water, when rearranging tank or fragging. The last was the worst, slowest recovery.
