Hi, Ive got these anemone from local pet store. They told me both these anemone are Bubble tip. But i could not find any bubble in it. Im doubting if this is a BAT. could someone help me out in identifying these Anemone.
Yes, they are both Bubble tip anemones (aka BTA) Entacmaea quadricolor. They are not in the greatest shape, but they are BTA's. Their color is usually referred to as "rose", which makes them RBTA's.
read that some bta's don't retain the bubble tip appearance and can actually look like lta's as they age or go though certain kinds of stress.
The first pic looks a lot like a rbta I had years back that shrunk and lost all his bubble tips right before he bleached from old t5ho bulbs. I upgraded to 3 watt bridgelux led's and he got 90% of his color back, grew to 8 inchs and his tentacles grew long and straight and they stayed that way the b-tips 's never came back just color and size on his recovery.
