help needed quickly, moving tank

Okay, this morning my dimwit boyfriend told me that while I was in class THAT was when my dresser HAD to be moved to the new house. I've got my livestock in a 2 gal dish essentially and it is all ****ed horribly. I'm still not able to set the tank back up. my clowns in particular are gasping at the surface. I've got a small pump that I just put in there, couldn't find it earlier, and I've got a bunch of coral that is likely trying to kill itself, not to mention that the water has gotten murky brown in the hour it's been that way. I don't have any water mixed since I had to toss it all out to move the tank, what can I do???????

Do you have an LFS that can hold your fish and coral for you till you get moved? Many will help a customer during an emergency.

Without water mixed I don't know what to tell you. Get them airated. Brown water is not sounding good. Did you put sand in there or something or is it your corals causing this? I would separate the fish from the coral so that the coral's stress toxins and slime don't overwhelm the fish. Bottom line is that you will need new water and airation right away or you risk losing all your livestock.

Can I put them into the buckets I've got my LR in? It's most likely the coral causing the brownness. the inverts are fine, its' just the clowns that are suffering. it's got water movement ATM. and the fish store told me to just cover them and leave the water moving.

K, the Dimwit just called, the stand(aka our dresser) is in it's final place in the new apartment. So I can start, once he gets back with the keys, moving the tank over. I've still got a "fresh" 10 gals, of water from the old tank keeping the rockwork wet(with powerheads) Once I get that in the tank can I put the fish/coral into it and then start getting the freshly made water in? Or do I need to do more with it first?

Edit: I've also taken out some of the ater from the coral/fish container and put some from the LR into it.

:( everything is either dead or dying

I got it to the new place and think I figured out what had caused the water to spoil. My blenny had died on the bottom of the tank. By the time I got everything over there my bigger clown was gone, and I don't know what the water will be like. I just mixed with the bag's instructions and put my bigger corals, all of my rock, my chaeto, my half dead cuc and my smaller clown into it. the frags of the other corals are in the 2 gal, with water from the bag I had some small bits of LR in. and I couldn't get anything but my one hob filter to work. so basically I'm going to have a crashed tank in the morning.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
