Nemo was missing for breakfast his morning....

I looked high and low... figured he was up in the LR someplace.... the shrimp had just molted... did he eat Nemo?? But NOOOO!!!! He's in the overflow!!!

So now my daunting situation... I have an AGA 90. WIth an Oceanic Return System. So how the heck am I supposed to get Nemo out of there??? Drain the overfow....

>>>Breaking news: My son managed to get him out with the net(which we don't like to use).

So I guess it's time to put some eggcrate on top of the overflow... but I'm thinking he got in there by the return gooseneck... any ideas on how to close of that area (he likes to sleep right there)? Will Nemo have learned his lesson?

Thanks,
Ron

I havn't tried this myself yet but i would try that plastic sewing canvas in the crafts section of Wal-Mart. Its flexible and easy to cut so i'd say it would be good for a number of uses. I'm sure you could find it at other crafts stores as well.

Better watch that Nemo. I've heard they can swim into your filtration system , lodge a pebble into the pump, and shut down the whole system!

Plastic Gutter Guard from HD or Lowes works well as a screen.

:lol: :lol::lol:
but yes i agree with the gutter guard

I went the walmart route and it slowed the overflow which raised the water too high. I ended up using the black square plant attachment material used in freshwater set ups. I glued this to a piece of rain gutter protection material in which I cut the edge off and used it. The edge of the material slips over thr glass of the overflow and holds securely. This still raises my level a bit.
I may be having display level problems because of my high sump to display turn over.
