I have a 55 gallon saltwater tank, been established for over a year, 2 clowns, lawnmower blenny, niger trigger, 2 damsels, and rabbit fish. Just added a bubble tip anemone a little over a week ago. When I first but him is was doing great, feed him mysis shrimp. Now he has moved from the top of the tank down under a rock and is hanging upside down. He has been deflated now for about three days. It will open a little but nothing like when I first had him in the tank. The foot is still strong, I just changed the lighting after he went under the rock to the aqueon modular led. I read that they need good lighting. Is it dying is there anything i can do to help it?

I wouldn't be overly concerned. Considering newly acquired, they will often find themselves in a desired location/position (appropriate lighting & flow). I wouldn't attempt to feed the anemone, until after it is settled.

It's still acclimating to the tank. Just let it do what the nem want and don't feed till it's really settle down

How long till i should be concerned if he doesnt open up? he was open for the first 5 days we had it and then just started moving on me.

Tank parameters? Nitrate, ph, temperature, lighting, water flow? How well a BTA will do in your system depends to a large extent on how well your system provides for the needs of the anemone.

Since I do high volume water changes anyway my experience is that changing a lot of tank water will remove any parameter problems you might have. This has been effective with every nem that I've owned.
OK what is high volume? I do 2 x 25% changes per week.
I guess that may be beyond the capability of someone with a 50 gal tank but I suggest doing as much water changing as you are able.
Also don't feed your nem until it is fully expanded. If it is sick, you will only make it worse. Anemone can go a long time (even months) without food so don't worry about food.
Right now you need to get the nem out in the light. Try this, put an air stone with a fine but strong bubble stream near where he is. When sick nems tend to go down stream with the current which will bring him out.
But first change water.
