K got both a new Antennata Lion, and a Radiatta Lion. Both are only like maybe 1-1.5 inches. I've had my Volitan for awhile and figured I'ld like all 3 of them. I've had several Lions the past, just never had one that didn't eat. I pulled them from the open tank and put them in a breeder, display tank for the time. I have mollies and guppies in there but there not eating anything and its going on 2 days (2 days in the tank). I also put some krill in there not even touching it either. Any suggestions, I kinda didn't get what I ordered due to the size lol. Please any advice or suggestions.

Give it time. When trying to switch lionfish away from live food it's common to not feed them for a lot longer than 2 days. Plus they've been put into TWO new tanks in 2 days. Don't use molly's either, get some ghost shrimp. See the Sticky FAQ on feeding large predators at the top of this forum page.

Good luck.

Thing is Im still drying live food. My ant. lionfish died this morning. The R. Lion is still there but still hasnt eaten. Neither had the new dogface puffer. The dogface is probably like 5 inches or better. But this is day 3 and I know they aren't going to go much longer at this rate. I had concerns about my clown trigger but he came to live finally yesterday morning and won't stop eating lol. I hate keeping them in hospital tanks in the tank since they can't really hide to much, and I know the R lions like hide somewhat. But I would rather make sure they eat a few times without being harrassed by the other tank mates. Thanks and anymore help would be great.

K and bought about 20 ghost shrimp, the dogface puffer did eat about 5 or so of them, thing is you cant keep an almost 6 dogface full on ghost shrimp (cost). The R. Lion did give in an eat one really fast actually, but then just looks at the other two. Just I have been more use to V lions and they usually eat and eat, and then some. I still have some really small goldfish, mollies, and rosys, but they just wont eat them.

Anyway I have always just feed lions etc 1 large fish a day or several every other day. The local dealer said they can go a week sometimes. What is actually the best recommended feeding schedule for lions, puffers, and triggers. I mean I know cutting back on food and less often with better the water quality, but doesnt do anygood to starve them to death either. They also recommended like for my dominos and clowns every other day, as I should with my freshwater. This is is kinda new to me since I always just stuck to once a night feeding. I really could use some help with this one.
