I would be, they usually mimic the coral they are eating. So does it look similiar? I'd do a nighttime run with a flashlight, may be more. I know a lot of people do freshwater dips.
Ya. I looks very similar. From what I've read, though, they seem to be pretty harmless. Most information says they eat sponges, algae, etc. Are you sure they eat corals, too?
Ive never seen them feeding on star polyp but they will absolutely lay waste to zoas,check the zoanthid forum,tons of information on them and other nastys.
A nudibranch that is on and looks like GSP is probably Phyllodesmium briareum. Like the others have said, they're on the GSP because that's what they eat.
The nudibranchs that eat sponges are the dorids, which are the colorful, flashy ones that we can't keep. Most of the other groups would be pretty destructive in a reef tank since many eat corals. None eat algae.
