i dont know if this is ich or not but i need help...
I bought a female anthias which now at home looks to be turning male because the top "fin" part seems to be getting that 1 pointing flashing dorsal fin thing going on so i assuming its turning into a male.
now here is the deal, when I was trasnfering her over, i couldn't catch her wiht my hand she kept trying to jump out of the bag so I got her with a net and she happened to either A) bite the net or B) get her gil in the net because she wasn't coming out when i put her in the tank, she was stuck but when i looked it was as if she had a hold of it with her mouth.
today shes swimming around in half of the tank area exploring, i tried feeding NLS pellets but didn't evne take a sniff at it from what i could tell.
now I was takign a closer look at noticed her lower fin below her belly seems to have some sort of white stuff on ot. Say fungus "esque" might also look like eggs on it.
From the second She was in the bag she was at the bottom didn't do much swimming, kind of like a wrasse she was chillin and in the tank she kind of stays low and doesn't go above maybe 6 inches of the 11" tank.
She isnt' breathing hard or anything, just whhen i did the trasnfer the first few minutes but since then she seems okay breathing wise.
is this ich? or is this flukes? or something entirely different.
