my scanner isnt working so ill have to descibe my soon to be sump. its a 20 gal high 24x16x12. The first chamber is 8lx10hx12w. this will house my css 65. my next area is my fuge the dimensions are 10lx10hx12w. i then have a bubble trap and then my return area which is 4lx10hx12w. My water line is going to be 10 inches and remain that in all chambers. do you see any problems with my desgn? im open to all suggestions because this is my first sump. the baffels are made of acrylic and are bonded to the glass with aquarium sealant. which bonds extremely well.

Make sure you have enough room for when the power goes out and you have all the extra water from your display down in your sump.

make sure you have a check valve on the return line as well, so your tank doesnt drain into the sump during a power outage

my sump is about the same dimensions as yours........ just fyi... i hope you have a auto-topoff set... i dont and i have to fill with RO every two days because of evaporation! the return area is way to small IMO

i dont have a prob with filling my tank. im a daily topoff guy. the main tank is a 15 so i def have enough room.
