My wife just noticed our Power Blue tang sitting in the back corner of the tank not really moving but still breathing. I was able to pick him up with my hand, he did not even swim away from me. We have him acclimating to go in to Quarantine. He is what seems to be gasping for air, he is not looking good. He was fine and just ate yesterday. Any suggestions on treatment?
We are going to try a freshwater dip. We are doing 85% RODI water and 15% tank water. My wife went to get a pH buffer to bring the pH up in the RODI water to match the pH in the tank so we do not shock the fish. We will be doing a max 10 minute dip.
The PBT can't even swim, he is just rolling around in the QT tank with the current but is breathing and moving fins sometimes.
