I want you to pick my next fish or make some suggestions. Its a 55g I need to add 1 maybe 2 fish. Must be reef safe. I was thinking about 2 more Green Chrmois but I would really rather have something of a different color.

My livestock now is

1 Yellowstripe Maroon Clown
2 Green Chromis
1 Diamond Gobie
1 Royal Gramma
1 Sixline Wrasse

Maybe a chalk bass or a couple of purple firefish? Dwarf angels are not really considered reef safe, but the cherub angel seems to have a pretty good track record.

McCosker's Flasher Wrasse!!!!!

has to be one of my favorite fishies!!!! I love mine sooo much.. I went and got him a female!! they have Amazing personalities!! they are like little puppies lol

I have looked at some of these fish that both of you have suggested on liveaquaria.com my question is are they compatible with what I already have? According to Liveaquaria Wrasse's don't get along with wrasse's. Dartfish don't get along with Basslets etc.... The Cherub Angel is an intresting idea

Engineer goby!, If you are willing to risk it a frogfish ( I have heard of them living safely with small fish ), maybe a pistol shrimp for the goby.

the mccosker's is a sweet fish and gets along with everyone in my tank.. however.. I don't know about the sixline. I would worry more about the sixline not liking any new fish.. and probably more so with a similar shaped fish as him. (like the mccoskers) :sad1:
I'm sorry.. I totally overlooked the sixline. If you don't get an answer.. you could always ask Steve (snorvich) over at NTTH in Intended Fish Purchases. He would definitely know.

another nice looking fish IMO is the Coral Beauty. but.. they can sometimes nip at corals.. so it would be with caution. I've had 2 over the years and never had a problem personally.

Good Luck!! :bounce3:

Upon hitching a ride, reading this thread. I've come to conclude a Flasher Wrasse is gonna be my next purchase. :celeb1:

No mandarin....bigger tank or remove the sixline.

Its not that other wrasse's wont get along with other wrasses. Its whether or not your sixline will get along with other wrasses

your current chromiis get along?

I've tried damsels.. 2 striped & 1 domino.. ended in just domino

then I really wanted the blue green chromiis because of their color and size.. thought they would do great in a non aggressive tank!!! ended up the bigger one killed the smaller one after about 6mos.. I was not happy!!!!

how long have you had yours? I really hope you have a success story with them!!! I really like their color. also.. when I had first put my chromiis in.. they decided to use my toadstool leather as their "host" lol it was cute.. till they got abit aggressive with each other... I do miss them!!!!!

I would say.. maybe pull the sixline out of tank.. put in new fish.. then sixline back in.. but that is probably too much of a migraine!!!

I hope w/e you choose, you are happy with it!!!!

Happy Reefing!!!

@ one of the earlier posts and chalk basslets
Based on the chalk's that I've had, they don't really mess around with anything until there's food involved. Then they go crazy and eat everything (Bad if you need to target feed something). Mine has chased food into my royal gramma cave fearlessly. Good fish though
