The look look like bristle worms almost. But they are like 1-4 inches long. Kinda thick. I just need to know if I should pull everything out of the tank that I can rescue. Well that and what the hell should I do. SOrry about the bad words. Just sad that I came home and my clown and shrimp is dead. Water change a week ago. I have a hair algae problem that iw as fighting but gave up on a week ago b/c of the new tank. havent checked the water in a week. But a week ago when I did everything was looking good. Everything that needed to be zero was. ph was about 8 temp is about 80.

Are you sure it is the worms? You said that you tank isn't cycled yet... might that be it?

its cool to ask more qestions. stock was 7 crabs, 2 ocelluis clowns, 1 cleaner shrimp. a frogspawn, hammer, leather, anem, some zoo frags. Fish and shrimp are about 5 months old. The cycle i was talking about is on my new tank that i am settign up.

most frequently worms dont do the dammage, theyjust clean up the leftovers. its there job.

is the shrimp dead or hopefully it just molted and you are looking at its discarded bodie. Ive made that error a time or two over the years.

Hammer, zoos, and frogspawn are dead. I pulled my leather out and he is sitting in a cut of water. I dont have a QT tank set up at all. If anyone could help me with that PLEASE. Here is my phone number 614-975-5009. Please call me. Im in the akron area.

sounds like a crash to me

100% wc time

check your sg

2check all electrical cords etc.. for exposed copper.

anny chances the temp went too high?

1st thing to do is remove all dead and dying tissue and do as close to a 100% wc as you can imediatly

I have my other tank. The cycle is just about done. What can I do to store these fish, clam, and coral for now?

You can set up an emergency tank in just about any thing suitable add a small heater,aitstone and fresh made sw. incase of some sort of poisining do not use your old water use all new.

So my buddy has a tank that is cycled and he said I could store them in his tank untill my new tank is cycled.

mantain the er tank just as you would a bare hospital tank large frequent wc can take the place of filtration temporarily.

(polly filters)_ and carbon are an awecome combination for riding contamination/metals/chemicals etc.. the carbon holds organics and some chemical compounds polly filter can grab heavy metals amongst other things

Thank you everyone for the help. I think I have a place to store my clam and leather for a little. Im moving in 3 weeks so this couldnt of come at a worst time. My fish is in my new tank. He seems very happy right now. Im going to do add some more water to my bucket that has my clam and leather in. But everything should work out. Once again tanks again for everyones help. That is so sad; I really feel for you.
How long were you away diving? Was someone taking care of your tank and may have done something odd? Just a thought.
