Hi, i bought a LTA almost 2 days ago, and he hasnt attached to anything, i turned off the wave makers and one of my filters. I have a 125 gallon with plenty of live rock, 4 inch sand bed and some clowns and damsels and a sailfin tang. My anemone is eating, i fed him twice already but WHY HASNT HE ATTACHED TO ANYTHING??? my ph is at 8.2, salinity 1.024 - 1.025 and 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and about 5 - 10 ppm of nitrates. Can some one please help? How can i get him to attach to something? This is a picture of me attempting to bury his foot but he just inflates and does not attach..

What kind of lighting do you have? when was the last time you did a water change and what are your phosphate, cal, alk levels? give him a couple more days and try not feeding him as much.. i only feed my nem a couple times a week as well. Also how old is your tank? I believe the general concenses is to add these guys after a year of tank maturation

i agree with holding off on feeding. feeding once a day is way too much. you are liable to have issues with the nem not being able to digest it quickly enough and the food start to decompose inside it. i recommend letting it settle in for at least a week or 2 and then only feed once a week.

purn off flow and the powerheads. try digging out an are of sand about the size of the nem's foot next to a larger rock. then stick the nem's foot in, and kind of pile smaller rocks around it. i try to make it nice and snug all the way around the foot. after an hour or so, turn back on the flow and powerheads. make sure that none of the powerheads are blowing directly on the lt. this has done the trick several times with lt's for me...

I think your spot on with making a small pile of rubble around the foot. I believe a lot of nems like to find footholds inside of crevices and other holes for safety. Correct me if I'm wrong but low alk could be a cause as well?
