My Kuda gave birth this morning and we were not prepared for this yet. I do not have any rotifers. I ordered some but they wont be here until wednesday and then I have to culture them. What can I feed these babies for now to keep them alive? The only small foods I have here is reef bugs, cyclopeez, oyster eggs and frozen bbs. I also have some green water that has been in my fridge a while. It hasnt always been shook up but it is still green.

At this point, try to hatch some bbs and feed it within a few hours of it hatching. A few of the fry MAY be able to eat the smallest bbs. I wouldn't try any frozen foods, cyclopeez, etc as they wouldn't eat it and you'd foul the nursery water. The green water is relatively useless, they don't use that as food.

Any chance you could see if there is a fairly local reef club around you or members near you that culture rotifers? Reef Central lists many different local reef clubs, maybe one is near you and you can post in that forum. Clownfish breeders and others use rotifers too. Maybe someone can help till yours get there Wed.

Best of luck...

Tom
