Flightpipe

Sea Turtles Love Me......
I re aquascaped some rock yesterday and I had a feeling that my GBTA would move since he was disturbed. So when I went to bed I shut off my K3 and K2 powerheads but I left my filter running. Of course I wake up and he is stuck on the filter guard getting sucked up. It looks like a little of him was pulled off.

He is still strained through the guard should i just let him get himself out or should i get him out?

Will he live? Ill post a pic....

The water is a little cloudy I am running carbon already. should i do a WC?

I just got done cleaning out my canister filter there were little pieces of him in there. What really concerns me is that a piece of his foot was in there it looked like I think it was part of the rim of his body not his foot. My skimmer is going full blast and I put a polishing pad in the filter but the water is still slightly cloudy. He must be still alive he is moving off the guard and his mouth is open probably cursing me. Here is a pic of him now.

Any Input Would Be Greatly Appericiated!

Mine looked worse and still pulled through. Like mentioned above, just keep an eye on it for the next few days. GL

He was very happy before wide open ect. I moved some rock and he scrunched up a bit and before i went to bed he looked like he was gonna move which is why I Cut off my K2 & K3 Just not my filter. He has moved further into the rocks from the last pic. This sucks! Im mixing for a WC now......

Ph 8.0
Amm appears to be 0 difficult to tell maybe .5 Its tough to tell on these damn test tube kits
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0

LPS looks good Softies look ok my pulsing Xenia is a little wilted
Inverts seem ok also my fire fish look ok

I would buffer the PH to 8.2 or 8.3 .. Does your lfs have any already mixed salt water like for emergencys such as this?

Thats what I love about xenias..if there is anything out of wack in the tank the xenias will let you know.

Update I just got back home he is up in the rock but has inflated 2/3 of normal size and appears to be ok *phew* I am mixing my WC now.

My ph was a lil low because it was early in the morn if i was to test now it would be higher so i think its ok but i will look again.

Well all seems well and good now thanks for everyones help i will post a pic of him when i get home today. I was wondering how long will he require to heal up? I was planning on adding 2 true perculas this weekend and i was hpoing for them to host now I am not sure that is a great idea. Can I go ahead and add them or will they bug the GBTA and stress it out worse? If they even host!

If you can, I would hold off on the clowns. While there is no guarantee that they would be hosted by it right away, why take the chance.

Something similar happened to my purple LTA,

Went from this,
