If you post some pictures I could probably at least advise you with recommendations. (as to what is possible and what is not, ideas, etc.)
If you havn't already done so, you'll need to knock out a portion of drywall around the pipes where you want to tie in. (I assume you have copper plumbing). and show pictures of where you wish to drain to.
Do not cut corners by draining to the storm gutters. Regardless of legality issue, you WILL be dumping unknown quantities of who-knows-what in the future. Get it done right the first time or you'll end up paying much more in the future to hire a plumber again.
When hiring a professional plumber, you're paying not only for his "knowledge and experience", but also for:
1) service of driving to your house and working in an unknown environment
2) providing all necessary parts needed (this means significant inventory of all types/shapes/sizes/etc)
2) unloading all necessary tools, parts, and equipment
3) performing an UNPREDICTABLE job where something ALWAYS goes wrong, unplanned, or longer than anticipated.
4) dealing with the general public (enough said)
5) clean up and reloading all tools, equipment, etc. into the truck
6) driving home with an ungodly backache and possibly having to unload it all again into storage/garage/etc.
I used to perform plumbing jobs for fellow reefers, 'till I just could no longer justify the enormous amount of TIME it took away from own life. I have to charge at least $300 a day to make it even remotely worth while, not including travel charges if long distance.
and I'm not even a "professional plumber"
Good luck, Reefmeister out
