Help. Problem with my rio 600?

I have a rio 600 that drives my sapphire skimmer. I noticed this morning that it was moving a little water, but was not causing any airation anymore? So basically there is a little water moving through the skimmer body, but no bubbles. The little snorkel/airintake part is not salted over and hasnt been underwater at all. I realise this is a cheap pump, but as I would have to order one to replace it(bc no one in town carries them) i'd rather be able to fix it.

I would be willing to bet that the end of the air line where it connects to the pump is pluged up with salt creep. You could try forcing a little vinegar through the line, or take it all apart and use a small pin to clean it out.

Kgross fo r the win!!! Thanks much Kim!!! Although your diagnosis was a bit off... I believe the problem was my missing bar goby.... been gone for 2 weeks now though! But it was def. some thing rather than some stuff. Either way thanks again!
