HELP! Pulsating Xenia Trouble

So, I'm not new to tanks, but this is my first Pulsating Xenia. The this has been going like gang busters, pluses like mad and grows in front of your eyes. I've gotten a bunch of frags off of it, mostly small parts that have grown off onto other rocks. My main piece has been starting to split for some time now. Today I noticed some discoloration on part that was facing a rock and some other corals. The other coral is in the picture also. When I turned it this is what I found. Looks like the flesh is stufing off the outside.

All the other frags that are in the tank with it are perfect and I'm wondering if it's a reaction to another coral or a disease of some kind. Do I try and nurse it along and see if it comes back or hack off the good pieces and let them attach to a new rock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

looks like it has been getting burned by a nearby coral, but could also be that it is an area that was being shaded. If it is otherwise healthy I wouldn't worry about it. Once those things get established in a tank they are practically indestructable.

ok, so I have some other xenia trouble..

Not the HUGE animal above, but one of two stalks I bought together is crashing. I had grown two cigar-thick stalks, but now, after 2-3 weeks, they're now golf pencil thick, one inch long.

The other original stalk on the other side of the 120 gal is fine.

Help?

thanks,

-G.
