Help regarding my RBTA

Hey all. I received a free RBTA as the store owner nipped the nems foot when bagging him for me. I decided to chance it and it's been 3 days and he bubbles and is interested in food and whatnot. However, I see the tear and it concerns me. However he comes out and looks happy. Should I be concerned? Pic below:

he looks like he is handling the injury very well it could do one of 3 things
1 heal up and remain healthy
2 split off the injured portion and heal whats left possibly resulting in a second bta
3 die. this would show signs of disentegration and poor health before it dies. posture would be nonexistant and it should look like crap which yours does not look like and so in my opinion its lowest on the list of possibilities

I'm hoping so. Just being a bit paranoid I guess. I assume as long as he's out and looks happy and accepts food he should be fine. Tank params are stable in a 150 so I hope he pulls through.

you have a right to be concerned anyone would be. but its my opinion it will be fine its reacting very well to the injury. some more knowledgeable folks may advise treatments of certain peoducts ill leave that to them

I'm sure later some of the "nem guru's" will chime in with an antibiotic treatment for it. I've got some ideas but not comfortable saying them.

leave it and see what it does IMO, if it start to go downhill, then look at possible antibiotic treatment, until then, let it do it's thing. Bravo's first response pretty much sums up everything you can be told at this point.
