Help required

I recently purchased a tree like soft coral which recently died away leaving a green cactus like plant/coral

does anyone know wht it is and should I leave it or remove it.

I think it looks pretty cool. I'd leave it and see what it turns into. There are some green fan like plants that it resembles, I just don't remember their name.
