HELP!!! Salinity change!!!

My sump got over filled and dropped my salinity from 1.025 to 1.023. Should I just leave it alone for the night or should I try to get it readjusted right now? Please help me I dont want everything to die in the tank. Thanks, Tim

Okay you really put me at ease. I think that the float switch got caught and dumped its load onto the tank. So what do you think about bringing it back up to 1.025 over the next week. Thanks, Tim

I think you'd be wise to do it over the next 48-72 hours. Corals deal with sudden salinity drops better than they deal with sudden salinity increases.

How dose one bring the salinity back up?
What do you add and how I am a newbe and just trying learn before something like this happens to me.

Why wouldn't you just let it evaporate for a day or two?

like wrott said just let it evaporate for a few days and it will raise it-self

If you do not add makeup water it will evaporate back to a 1.025 on it's own.
